"Alternate" ARA Design

Single Sheath Boxcar Kit In O Scale

Greetings, and thanks for tuning in to check out our latest kit.  It may not be plenty in numbers, but it sure has plenty of character.  This model  represents the rebuild versions of the Sands Springs Railway "Alternate" ARA Design SS boxcar.   The kit includes; one piece body/floor casting combination,  one piece roof casting, San Juan/Chooch injected styrene hardware detail, brass etched components, and templates in the aid of hole location and drilling, plus the usual assortment of brass wire and styrene strip.  Decals are available thru Protocraft.

The finished model shown in the opening header was painted and finished by Lee Turner.  Jim Zwernemann built the model and also provided the master pattern making for the project.  Both Gentlemen did an outstanding job of craftsmanship and artistry.  Mr. Turner photographed the model as well and is being used with permission.
